Wenatchee Valley’s 30th Make A Difference Day

Wenatchee Valley’s 30th Make A Difference Day, a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors and the North Central Washington’s national award winning volunteer day, will be Saturday October 24th, 2020. This year the Wenatchee Valley Make A Difference Day will be coordinated by the Pybus Market Charitable Foundation.

Organizers will hold a public planning and organizational meeting for anyone who would like to participate on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 4pm. This meeting will be conducted virtually and participants can register to attend the event on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/community-planning-meeting-for-the-wenatchee-valley-make-a-difference-day-tickets-118578420247. Zoom link for the meeting will be emailed a few days prior to the meeting. Additional information can be found on the Wenatchee Valley Make A Difference Day website: wenatcheemkdd.com.

              Anyone interested in participating – whether organizing a project or finding a project to work on – is encouraged to attend the meeting. For more information or if there are questions be sure to check the website or contact event co-chairs by calling Mary Henson, 509-209-1547, or Barbara Harris, 509-888-3900. Organizers are asking that all planned projects be submitted to the website as soon as possible so members of the community can look for local projects and needs such as donations and volunteers.

We know times are especially hard this year and coming together as a community is more important than ever. We are asking if you have a specific need for your group, business or family due to the challenges you have faced during this time to consider signing up for our area Make A Difference Day. The Wenatchee Valley has been recognized nationally and gained a number of grants in past years for this project and we know this year will be the same if not better. Let’s go out and make a difference in our neighborhoods in an phenomenal way this year!
