YWCA NCW Thrift Store is getting ready for the holidays and could use your help! During the winter months, our Thrift Store gives out more blankets, winter clothing and necessities than any other time of year. In addition, we offer gift-giving and holiday decor solutions at a reasonable price, which is especially important during this time of economic instability for many community members. In order to prepare for this busy season of service, we need help gathering up all of our winter inventory and getting it ready to go in the retail space. This will involve lifting, carrying, and sorting items, your help will bolster our ability to help even more folks than ever before!
YWCA NCW Thrift Store is not just any normal Thrift Store, we provide critical services in our valley! We give out between $2,000-$4,000 worth of inventory every month to folks who need extra support, our Thrift Store staff are trained and well-versed in resources and services to connect folks to, and they have created a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for all community members to shop for what they need. It is a small but mighty team, with just 3 full-time staff, and we are so grateful for any volunteer assistance we receive.
