5th Annual Native Planting at Foster Creek – Douglas Co.

When

October 22, 2022
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Event Type

5th Annual Native Planting at Foster Creek
Join Foster Creek Conservation District (FCCD) for our 5th annual native planting event to help reestablish riparian vegetation throughout the Foster Creek Watershed!

The 2020 Pearl Hill fire scorched over 200,000 acres in Northern Douglas County, which destroyed vital habitat for local wildlife, and caused damaging erosion that negatively impacts water quality due to limited reestablishment of native plants.

Each year a group of wonderful volunteers work together to plant a different stretch along the Foster Creek corridor to help restore native habitat, provide streambank stabilization, and improve water quality!

Come Make a Difference within the Foster Creek Watershed by joining us for our fall planting on October 22, 2022. Hot soup, coffee, and snacks will be provided.
Please bring a water container, weather appropriate working clothes, and gardening gloves.

Where: 10 miles SE of Bridgeport, WA on the corner of Hwy 17 and K Rd NE.

Please RSVP by email to [email protected] or by phone at (509)888-6372.
