SUMMARY:Teachers Make a Difference Book
DESCRIPTION:Community members are invited to write a story about their favo
 rite teacher - one who has made a lasting difference in their lives - and 
 email it to Eldene Wall eldenew@ncesd.org to be included in the 25th editi
 on of the Teachers Make a Difference book.  This inspiring book includes 
 stories about teachers\, written by their students\, compiled to tell how 
 teachers are changing the world\, one student at a time. These stories hav
 e been included as part of the Teachers Make a Difference scholarship appl
 ication.  The Teachers Make a Difference scholarship has been offered for
  the past 24 years as a result of our Teachers Make a Difference book\, wh
 ich is offered when donations are made to the Teachers Make a Difference s
 cholarship fund.  It was first offered as part of Make a Difference Day i
 n 2002\, and this scholarship has been awarded to 68 students who wanted t
 o become teachers in the past 24 years!
