Ready the Ranch on Make a Difference Day (Orondo)

Trusting Spirit Horse Rescue
Make a Difference Day is around the corner! Make a Difference Day is the largest national day of community service in the country. Held on the 4th Saturday of October since 1992, millions of organizations and big hearted individuals around the world unite in a common mission to help perform acts of kindness that truly make a difference.

Each year, our wonderful volunteers and supporters bring their shovels, loppers, weed eaters and any other tools available to help us get the rescue and our horses ready for winter. We’re hoping you’ll all return this year on Oct. 24 and again lend a hand.

This year’s projects will be mainly focus on weeding, clearing debris and recycled scrap, organizing the hay sheds and fence mending. And of course, we have some horses who could use some grooming and little TLC.

Work time begins at 9am and we’ll wrap up at 1pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Trusting Spirit Horse Rescue is located on highway 97 north of Wenatchee, Wash., at 6 Crystal Moon, Orondo, 98843.

(Directions from Wenatchee: Drive north on highway 97 (east side of the Columbia River), the rescue is located between milepost 139 and 140. Watch for long white fence and red gate at the entry)

Volunteers are reminded to wear proper clothing and shoes as well as work gloves, hammers, weed pulling tools, loppers, shovels, fence pliers and other yard tools that might be needed.
